The sleeves were made with carefully cut and sewn strips of fabric which were edged with self-made bias tape and assorted trim. When the jacket pieces were finally sewn together, a zipper closer was added to the front and some embellishments were added to the front of the jacket to conceal the zipper.

Plastic boning was added at key points in the torso and sides to maintain the tunic shape. The tunic was cut in a single color and layers of fabric and trim were cut, pinned and sewn in place.

I used the Margo Anderson Tudor tunic pattern as a base and modified it to add slashed puffy sleeves. The paint was finally sealed with Rustoleum matte clear varnish spray sealant I used an ink wash in black, then dry brushed tan and off-white highlights. I used a criss-cross elastic system to allows the jaw free movement when I open and close my mouth. Foam was added to the chin, cheeks and forehead to fit my face comfortably and elastics were added to hold the mask to my face. The eye screens were made with layered door/window screen fabric to allow me to see out, without observers to see my inside. I cleaned and smoothed the edges with some fine grit sandpaper before preping the mask to fit on my face. The mask was then cut out and the jaw separated with a dremmel.

Once the paper clay hardened, I vacuum formed a new skull mask base with. The eye and nose holes were filled in, and the details were filled out using celluclay paper clay filling in the missing teeth and widening areas at the temples and forehead to accommodate my glasses. Mask was made with a halloween hobby-store skull mask as a base.
